...for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him...

Intro | The above quote is taken from Jesus’ conversation about worship with a Samaritan outcast who came to quench her thirst. I have always wondered why Jesus would say that God is seeking - this is the same God who is all knowing and everywhere, right? So, how is it that God has to seek out worshipers who are genuine? Especially now when worship is its own musical genre?

About the Heart | Worship does not simply consist of singing songs or listening to the band play on. Worship, the kind that the father seeks (according to John 4) is that which engages your heart and is consistent with your life. So that means, that the words we SING out to God on a Sunday morning we LIVE out to God every moment of our lives (or at least work at it). The focus of our musical worship service is God; worship is offering adoration, love, honor and Glory to our Creator, Savior, Redeemer and King.

About the Music | The music (which is a venue for worship) at Come Alive Church is relevant and purposeful. We understand that being part of the band is a greater responsibility than simply having skills, that it requires a life of integrity and depth. The musicians involved in the musical portion of our services are not merely creating music, but also leading the congregation to connect in a corporate way with God’s Spirit (which we believe is at work in our lives individually and corporately). It is God’s Spirit that causes us to respond in adoration and worship, in reverent awe

and simple love. A typical service may include a hymn or two, and modern worship songs from artists like: Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Hillsong and a few originals. The point is not the songs, these are merely the avenue in which we corporately declare the beauty of the Lord.
